Day 4 Cheonggyecheon Canal

This is an almost 6 km long, the relaxation area in the heart of the city. The water in canal used to be very poor in quality but the massive urban renewal project has improved the canal. The $900 million improvement project had been public criticism , but after opening in 2005,  this is the popular place among tourist and residence.

Now I had realized that why many lovers came up here. At the cliff, near the entrance to the tower, when I came closer, I saw many key locked along the fence and there was the name of the lovers on the locks. I asked one of teenagers there, she said that the lovers who came to lock the keys here and throw the key down off the cliff. Their love will be last forever, nothing can break them like the key that has been locked forever. This place had been in many movies scene. That was why many people'd love to visit here.

Day 3:N Seoul Tower (2)

From the bottom of Namsan mountain, we took a lift to get up to the top of the mountain where the tower located. The lift took around 5 minutes  to go up. After arriving, we felt cold immediately due to a cold and strong wind. we walked up along a ladder a little bit to get closed to the tower. The first impression that we saw was the tower can changed the colour. This was very colourful at night. So many people were up here especially lovers. I wonder what they were doing up here. There might be something that attracted them to come up. Up here, there was a thing more than the romantic surrounding.

Day3: Namsan Hanhokgu Village

We spend around one hours at Changyeonggung. Then we take Taxi to Namsan Hanhokgu which was Korean ancient village. Korean government had a project of building Namsan Hanhokgu by collection the original house wrecks around the city to rebuild them to be a ancient village here. Waliking through this place, we feel like being in Joseon period. There were many Korean tradition demonstrate here such as ancient cooking style, children games handicraft and etc. Moreover, you will have a chance to try on Hanbok cloth here.

Day 3:Changgyeonggung Palace

We left Changdeokgung with happiness and walk along the footpath, Changgyeonggung Palace was next to Changdeokgung. This palace was first built by King Sejong for King Taejong, his father around 1430s. Many queens and concubines used to stay at here.It has been renovated and name as the present one by King Seongjong but in the Japanese invasion period. This became zoo and botanical garden.

We took a walk at here not too long due to its small size however, we still enjoyed scenerey of palace and sakura with beautiful Okcheon bridge.

Day 3: Changdeokgung palace

Beside Gyeongbokgung, this is another palace used to be a major palace in Joseon dynasty. It was built by the order of King Taejong in the year 1405 to be secondary to Gyeongbokgung. Both of palace was fired during the Japanese invasion in the 1592 and Changdeokgung was rebuilt in 1610 to serve as the main palace. This palace has the area closed to Changgyeonggung palace. Moreover, Changdeokgung had many magnificent place  inside such as the secret garden, Jondeokjeong and ect. This palace become UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in the year 1997.

To be this is my favourite place due to its location on the hill with many trees around. Cherry blossoms and many flowers are blooming. I felt very relaxed even though, I need to take an hour to finish walking around this palace.

Day 2: Nami Island

This was going to be another big day for us that we traveled outside Seoul. Our destination was Nami Island. Nami Island is not the island in the sea but in the middle of the river. This became very popular when this was the location in the scene of "Winter Love Song".

We got up very early today and took the subway to Cheongnyangni train station. It took around one and a half hour to Gapyeong train station and we caught taxi to the pier to take a ferry to the Island. Before getting on boat, a cone of ice-cream was nice.

Nami Island was a leaf shape island. The ferry took around 10 minutes. The island was full of tourist. Can you believe that majority of oversea tourists here were Thai. How crazy of Korean stream are for Thai, now I realized.

The Island was very charming. The island in each season was different in beauty. As I saw the picture I thought in the autumn, here is the most magnificent and romantic. Even though we were here in the beginning of
spring. The island was also lovely.
Snow was still left. The trees were still without leaf and the flowers were blooming. With the many romantic and stunning scenery, this was the true place for many lovers.

We spent around three or four hours on the island before we took ferry back to the main land.Time spending on the island was going very quickly as we concentrated on taking pictures. The train arrived at Seoul and then I went straight away to Myeongdong market to do a big shopping as I planned the before.
